MTV needed a way to drive viewership of the VMAs.  The solution: the Museum Of Missy, a consumer experience powered by VMA sponsor Pepsi.  

 

An interactive museum experience was conceived to celebrate the work of 2019 MTV VMA Vanguard Award recipient Missy Elliott and the creative visionaries behind some of her most iconic music videos. 

Inspired by the icon herself, the made-for-Instagram playground  shined light on MTV’s history and influence in connecting artists to audiences through its annual VMAs.

The space was comprised of interactive experiences such as a Fly Gal manicure station, Pepsi Sampling bar, the Supa Dupa Fly lounge, and an opportunity to appear in “The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)” wearing Missy’s famous costume in the form off a gesture-based hologram.

Inside the Museum of Missy: an interactive retrospective experience celebrating the work of VMA hororee Missy Elliott & her creative collaborators.
